What is the Good Cause Library? The Good Cause Library is a simple way for community-spirited people to contribute to local Good Causes, with 100% of their donation going to the local Good Cause of their choice. How does the Good Cause Library work in practice? 1• The library is established in a highly accessible space in a convenient location (e.g. garage, filling station, village store etc.) 2• The space is provided and managed free of charge by the owner of the premises. 3• Books, soft/paper backs and magazines/periodicals are donated freely to the library by ordinary members of the public. 4• Each item has a good cause sticker attached with the name of the Good Cause appended. |

5• Other members of the public buy these same items at a fixed price: Hard Back Books £1 Soft/Paper Back Books 50p Magazines/Periodicals 25p and put the money in the appropriate "sweetie jars" at the library. |

6• The money is collected weekly by a representative of the good cause. 7• After three months unsold items are removed and donated to the nominated "Good Cause of Last Resort" for re-cycling. Thats it... and it really works! |
